The wait for Almost Human has been stretched by another two weeks.
In attempt to lure more eyeballs to the premiere, Fox announced Monday that the previously announced Nov. 4 opener will now air on Sunday, Nov. 17. That will give the freshman drama a massive lead-in from the evenings NFL on Fox football coverage.
The second part of the premiere will air the following night, debuting in its 8 p.m. Monday time period and leading into freshman hit Sleepy Hollow.
Bones, which moves to Fridays at 8 p.m. starting Nov. 15, will remain in Almost Human's Monday slot for an additional two weeks -- Nov. 4 and 11 -- where it has been virtually even with last fall's ratings.

Researchers at the University of Exeter and the AHVLA's National Wildlife Management Centre have shown that the social lives of badgers are related to their risk of infection with bovine tuberculosis (TB).
By equipping more than 50 wild badgers with electronic 'proximity collars' that automatically tracked their social contacts, Exeter PhD Student Nicola Weber built a network of contacts across the population and analysed patterns of infection. She found that TB-infected animals were less well-connected to their own groups than uninfected badgers, but at the same time infected individuals formed important links for the flow of infection between groups.
The research, which is published today in the journal Current Biology, suggests this unusual social arrangement may stabilise the spread of TB infection across the population.
Professor Robbie McDonald from the University of Exeter said: "This study has revealed an important link between social networks and TB infection. Infected animals were likely to be less important for spread within groups while at the same time being more important for spread between groups.
"Social stability is thought to mitigate disease spread, perhaps by maintaining the distinctive position of these individuals. Culling badgers perturbs social structures and we think our findings may help understanding of so-called 'perturbation', where culling has been linked to increases in TB in badgers.
"Curbing TB infection in wildlife remains a challenge. Vaccination has the potential to disrupt disease flow, without perturbing social network structures," said McDonald.
Tuberculosis infection in cattle is a major animal health challenge in the UK and Ireland. In 2012, more than 8 million tests were conducted on cattle and 38,000 cattle were slaughtered to control TB. This testing and the resulting compensation are costly; controlling TB costs the UK taxpayer around 100m every year.
The study of the spread of disease through analysis of social networks has applications beyond badgers. The network analyses involved are similar to those used in people and so these techniques can be used to learn about how infection is transferred in a range of behaviourally complex hosts including humans, livestock and wildlife.

UFC 166 was the coronation of the current heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez. He not only won the rubber match between him and the second best heavyweight in the division, Junior dos Santos, he made it clear that Junior dos Santos is the second best heavyweight. That was the piece of drama that the always riveting but never quite competitive trilogy hinged on.
Now the thing is definitive: Cain es el mejor. He enters the rarified space as the best heavyweight champion the UFC has ever known. Yet he’s the only thing definitive in a division that churns bodies like a cement mixer just below him.
And in the fight game’s deepest urge to get at the heart of "what’s next," we find ourselves in familiar territory when it comes to the company big men. The truth of the matter is, there’s Fabricio Werdum, who has exercised the patience of a yogi waiting for his title shot…then there’s the sea of distant thirds. You can literally roll up your pant legs and wade right across.
With Jon Jones now seemingly entrenched in the light heavyweight division that just a few weeks ago felt as if he’d cleaned out, there’s no mega-challenge for Velasquez on the immediate horizon. He won’t fight his AKA teammate Daniel Cormier, and really, that in itself feels like warm-blooded magic. Rather than get caught up in the teammate-versus-teammate conflict, Cormier -- who beat Roy Nelson at UFC 166 in his heavyweight swan song -- began to whittle himself down bodily while throwing Jon Jones’ name out there.
As far as diversions go, this one worked to perfection. Even Dana White was okay with Cormier deflecting attention to Jones from the earliest conception, even though Cormier was much more useful in the heavyweight division. So no Jones, and no Cormier, at least not for Velasquez, and not at this point in time.
For Jones? For Jones there is food for days with Glover Teixeira, Daniel Cormier and Alexander Gustafsson all queued up. The light heavyweight division’s stock for big title fights is suddenly soaring. What a difference a Swede makes.
The closest the UFC has to a radar-contender at heavyweight is Travis Browne, who was the latest to beat the hatches off of Alistair Overeem (the false groom). Browne has a fight with Josh Barnett in late December, and should he win, there’s at least another viable challenge hovering nearby. If it’s Barnett, then the "War Master" becomes that guy. Neither is bad, but beyond that small circuit of names, it’s steep drop off. It’s Frank Mir, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Mark Hunt, Antonio Silva, Stipe Miocic, Roy Nelson, Alistair Overeem and anyone’s guess. It’s a full pantry of recycled goods.
Which includes Dos Santos.
"Cigano" remains the undisputed second best heavyweight, and it feels like he could hold that post for as long as it takes to force a fourth encounter with Velasquez. And if the big game hunters are asked to get through dos Santos en-route to Velasquez, it’ll start to get very lonely at the top. This is the strange thing that’s happened with the heavyweight division. When there’s a clear One and Two, and One and Two can’t get together anymore, it becomes a choose your own adventure for the Thirds. Die by Mexico at the top, or die by Brazil on the voyage north.
What does all of this mean? Maybe nothing. Things happen so fast in the UFC that it’s impossible to look six months into the future without getting dizzy. But the UFC’s heavyweight division has always had a problem with depth. Guys take each other out of contention faster than they get there. And that’s why, even though Velasquez put a bloody red bow on Dos Santos and sent him off at UFC 166, he didn’t send him far.
Have you grown out of your point-and-shoot, but can't spend a fortune on an interchangeable lens camera? Sony's Alpha 3000 ($399.99 direct with 18-55m lens) is the least expensive mirrorless camera you can buy. Sony made some compromises to deliver the 20-megapixel APS-C model at this price point, but image quality isn't one of them. We're impressed with the quality of its images, and the fact that it includes an eye-level electronic viewfinder at this price. On the other hand, the low-resolution rear LCD and limited burst-shooting capability are a bit of a letdown. If you have a bit more money to spend, consider a more refined mirrorless camera like our Editors' Choice, the Samsung NX300 or Sony's own NEX-6. But if you're on a tight budget and want the the ability to change lenses along with the image quality that a big image sensor delivers, the Alpha 3000 is worth a serious look.
Design and Features Most entry-level mirrorless cameras are designed to resemble beefed-up compact cameras. The Alpha 3000 takes the opposite approach, looking more like a scaled-down SLR. This is the same aesthetic that Panasonic chose for its G and GH bodies, including the top-end GH3. The A3000 measures 2.3 by 4 by 1.5 inches (HWD) and weighs in at 9.9 ounces with no lens attached. Adding the kit lens increases the depth by about two inches and ups the total weight to just over a pound. Compare this to Sony's smallest interchangeable lens camera, the NEX-3N, which measures 2.3 by 4.4 by 1.4 inches and weighs 9.5 ounces; its collapsible kit lens increases the depth to about 2.8 inches and the weight to 13.6 ounces.
The SLR body style means that the camera has a deep, comfortable handgrip that's absent from many mirrorless cameras. There's some sacrifice in compactness here, but it's a worthy trade-off, especially when you pair the camera with a telezoom like the 55-210mm E-mount lens. A pop-up flash is built into the body, as is an eye-level EVF, and there's a multi-function hot shoe so that you can attach an external flash or another accessory as needed.
The control layout is a little sparse when compared to an SLR, but is on par with other E-mount bodies. Up top you'll find the Finder/LCD button (there's no eye sensor, so you have to toggle between the two manually), a mode dial, the image playback button, and a power switch that surrounds the shutter release. On the rear there's the movie button, two programmable function buttons, and a control wheel that doubles a four-way joystick with a center select button. By default the bottom button is set to bring up an in-camera guide that explains some photographic concepts and provides shooting tips. If you're comfortable behind the lens you'll want to reprogram this to activate a feature you'll use more often, like Sony's Auto Object Framing, which works to improve the composition of images, or the Clear Image Zoom function, which can effectively double the reach of your lens.
The tile-based menu system is familiar to experienced NEX shooters, but if you're moving up from a compact camera it will take getting used to. When you enter the main menu you'll be greeted by five icons: Camera, Image Size, Brightness/Color, Playback, and Setup. There are a ton of features that can be customized, but menu organization is sometimes unintuitive. For example, you'll need to go into Image Size to control the direction in which you move the camera to grab a panoramic photo; but make sure you're in Panorama mode, or that option will be grayed out.
The 3-inch rear LCD boasts a wide 16:9 ratio, just like the displays on other Sony mirrorless cameras like the NEX-5T. But it only packs a 230k-dot resolution, and looks noticeably pixelated. It can't match the 460k-dot display that Olympus packs into its entry-level PEN Mini E-PM2, and it doesn't incorporate the touch control that both the E-PM2 and NEX-5T offer.
The 0.5-inch, 768k-dot EVF is the best one you'll find in a $400 mirrorless camera, but that's because it's the only EVF you'll find in a $400 mirrorless camera. Compared with other offerings it's not very sharp, and gives you a bit of a tunnel vision effect when peering into it. There's a diopter, so you can tune it to match your eyesight, and it will get the job done when it's too bright to use the rear LCD for image framing.
The Alpha 3000 does support peaking as a manual focus aid; that system outlines in-focus parts of an image in red, yellow, or white to make manual focus quicker and more precise. But if you're serious about using the EVF, you'll be better suited with one that is a bit sharper—especially if you plan on using third-party manual focus lenses. The NEX-6 has a built-in OLED EVF, and the Panasonic G6 has an LCD EVF. You buy an add-on EVF for the Sony NEX-5T, and all Olympus PEN models support the VF-4. Since the Alpha 3000 is a budget-priced camera, it's not surprising that its EVF isn't top-quality.
Women have been learning from Stacy London "What Not to Wear" for the past 10 years. But London, whose TLC series wraps on Friday, seems confident ladies and their closets will be able to cope with her absence.
"Everything has its time," she told TODAY's Natalie Morales Thursday. "A whole decade on television was a great run."
And, she added, the show was more than just about improving terrible wardrobes. "I like to think of the show as a Trojan horse," she added. "It really had such an emotional impact. There are very few shows that I think are entertaining and educational and actually emotional."
